Gossip Girl es una serie estadounidense que no solo marca tendencias en el mundo de la moda sino también en el mundo de la música. Y no es de extrañar ya que su creador, Josh Schwartz, es el que hace ocho años creó la serie The OC, la primera donde aparecieron los ya populares The Killers o grupos indies como Death Cab For Cutie, The Raveonettes o Sufjan Stevens.

Los personajes de Gossip Girl se mueven el barrio del Upper East Side de Nueva York y las canciones que se pueden escuchar en la serie ayudan a conseguir esos momentos emotivos que ha logrado que haya tanta gente enganchada. La relación entre Chuck y Blair no hubiese sido tan apasionada sin Robyn y su “Dancing On My Own” o los momentos más duros de Chuck no serian tan impactante si no sonara de fondo White Lies con “E.S.T.”.
